Mr. Morris Stuckey

October 20, 1959 - June 14, 2022

Mr. Morris Stuckey was born October 20, 1959 in Yazoo, Mississippi the son of Bill and Ida Stuckey. He passed away on June 14, 2022 at the age of 62 years. Morris accepted Christ at an early age. He sang in the choir and was the choir director. He was an A student, a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Saginaw High School. He had good work habits at an early age. He had a paper route for several years and was a Boy Scout for number of years. Mr. Stuckey was one of the first African American males to graduate from the School of Nursing at Michigan State University where he was on the Dean’s list multiple times. He enjoyed family singing, and was an avid artist and poet. He loved to laugh, was very particular about his clothing and interior decorating. He enjoyed traveling all over the world. Mr. Morris Stuckey leaves to cherish many memories his mother, Ida Mae (Grays) Stuckey; sisters; Maxine Jenkins and Linda Washington; brother, Austin (Frances) Stuckey; four nieces, four nephews; a host of other relatives and friends including special friend, his brother-in-Christ, Latrell King. Morris Stuckey was preceded in death by his father, Bill Stuckey; grandparents, Dave, Corrine Grays, Willie Hunter, Tommie Stuckey; one sister, Corrine Stuckey; two brothers-in-law, James D. Washington and Willie C. Jenkins, Sr.; one great-niece, Elisha Stuckey. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Otis Washington will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until the time of service.
