Mr. Tori Dante Blackwell

April 18, 1981 - June 13, 2022

Mr. Tori Dante’ Blackwell was born April 18, 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan to Sheila D. Blackwell and Larry McBride, Sr. Tori passed away in his sleep on June 13, 2022 at home. Tori received God at the early age of 12 years and was baptized by Reverend George House in Chicago, Illinois. He was a high school graduate and a proud graduate of ITT Technical Institute. Tori loved his family, friends, playing basketball, fishing and bowling; Larry, Sr. says, “Something about his laugh and he was always willing to go the extra mile”. Sheila says, “It was his sweet/loving spirit that touched so many people”. Shaun says, “My mom’s left and right side. Tori leaves to cherish his memory: daughters, Te`rika Amya Blackwell, Jazmyn Kristine Blackwell; son, Tori Dante’ Blackwell, Jr.; loving mother, Sheila Blackwell; father, Larry (Ora) McBride, Sr.; brothers, Shauncey Darrell Blackwell, Larry (Erika) McBride, Jr., DeMarco McBride, Mario (Mary) Hart and Timothy Hart; grandparents, Dorothy (Freeman) Taylor; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins including, the crew, first cousins (brother/sister), Takia, Chantel and Jere’; the mothers of his children, Krista, Erika and Sylvia; close relatives, Stacy, Symone, Ebony, Gwen, Veronica, Alton, Eddie, Darrell and Alfred; special friend, Jessica Field; god-brothers, Will, Mike and Stephen; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a child; grandparents; Helen Marie Blackwell, Alfred Lee Blackwell and James Bishop and sister, Shirletha (Williams) Thompson. The family wishes to thank each and every one for their support. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Minister William Reeves will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
