Mr. Trevis Maurice "Trey" Ruffin Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Trevis Maurice Ruffin “Trey” departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center-Harrison at the age of 57 years. Trey was born on February 16, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan to Charles and Janice (Davis) Ruffin. He accepted Christ at an early age, and was a lifelong resident of Saginaw. He was a graduate of Buena Vista High School Class of “81” where he was an All-State Football player for the BV Knights. He also graduated from Saginaw Valley State University. He was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and Living in Victory Everyday Church, Pastors Blake Strozier and Trevis Ruffin, Jr. He was a coach, a mentor and was very involved in youth ministries He loved God, family and friends. Trey was employed at Eaton Manufacturing and General Motors Corporation; he was a very dependable and hard worker. Trevis enjoyed sports, bowling, working out, playing cards and dominoes. He also loved using his phone to stay in contact with everyone he loved. Trevis was a person that made friends easily, wherever he went. He always had open arms to everyone he came in contact with. His presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mostly because of the unmeasurable amount of love he showed for his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Brycandes K. Ruffin; three sons, Trevis (Sparkle) Ruffin, Cordon (Martina) Ruffin, Bryson (Courtney) Ruffin; one daughter, Ciara (Marcel) McGlothin; his mother, Janice Ruffin; sister, Regina (Tommy) Phillips; 10 grandchildren, Zion, Trevis, Alissa, Serenity, Marley and Harper Ruffin, Marcel, Jr. and Camryn McGlothin, Bryson, Jr. and Brynn Ruffin; two aunts, Brenda Sherley and Diane Evans; great-aunt, Arlena (Jimmy) Boose; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Thomas and Marilyn Ginn; a brother-in-law, William (Linda) Brewer; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Ruffin was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Ruffin; grandparents, Arie Ruffin, Thomas and Emma Davis; father and mother-in-law, William and Bessie Brewer. The family wishes to express special thanks to Covenant HealthCare, Healthsource Saginaw, all special care givers that helped Trevis in his time of need including, Devon, Juanarrow and Darlene. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2020 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street, Saginaw, MI 48601 with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Blake Strozier, Host Pastor and Pastor Leslie Lewis will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N.
