Mr. William Marlow Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

William Marlow Jr., a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully July 24, 2022, in Arbor Park Village, Minnesota. William was born in Saginaw, MI on December 13th, 1989, to Virginia Marlow and William Marlow, Sr. He passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the age of 32 years. William Jr., also known as Lil’ Will, was an amazing athlete, talented dancer, and a loving human being whose joy was spread to many others. As a child, he participated in and excelled in sports. Will obtained several trophies, medals, and certificates for competing in AAU, Gus Macker competitions, and school sports. Will graduated from Saginaw High School in 2008. He was well respected and loved by his peers. Will loved participating in sports. He played exceptionally well in basketball, football, and baseball. Will assisted with leading Saginaw High School’s boys basketball team in winning two state championship titles. Will was, and will always be, our All American! Will went on to play basketball at Carl Sandberg College in Galesburg, IL, and Minnesota State Technical and Community College in Fergus Falls, MN from 2008 to 2013. He started his career as a skilled laborer, and went on to work for Fettes Transportation Systems, Ashley Furniture, and Hot Springs Spas and Pool Tables 2. Will was best known for being a determined athlete and a driven worker. He was a wonderful son, a loving father, a supportive brother, and a great friend. One of his professors described Will as, “someone who always wanted to get it right!” Not only was William known for his athleticism and hard work but his moves on the dance floor were unmatched. Will could dance his way into your heart. Will was a people’s person and had a smile that would light up the room. Everyone and anyone who had the pleasure of being around Will described him as outgoing, comical, and just a great person to know and be around. Will loved entertaining his family. They will cherish the memories he brought to family gatherings. Will’s friends also became his family. He spent a lot of time with his teammates, classmates, coaches, and best friends. Those relationships helped mold Will. He had a humble spirit, kindhearted soul, and warm embrace. William Jr. leaves to cherish loving memories, his beautiful daughters, Gabby and Londyn; parents William Marlow Sr. and Virginia Marlow; two sisters, Christyal Carr and Jasma Randle; one brother Elisher Marlow; grandmothers, Mary Carr and Annie Carr; aunts, Mary Ann Carr, Gail (Alvin) Henix, Sandra (Danny) Buriel, Zetna Green, Narcissi (Ben) Haynes, Sammeetra Carr, Mattie Marlow, Brenda Marlow and Diane Marlow-Germany; uncles, Sammie (Palacetina) Carr, George (Ada) Carr, Robert Carr, Kemoathe Green, Thomas Askew; great aunt, Virginia (Robert) Gardner, Shreveport, LA; great uncle, George Johnson, Shreveport, LA; special cousin, Dale Lee Carr, Shreveport, LA and other cousins whom he cherished, Henry, Latoya, Arizsia, Ariz Jr., Charles Jr., Bryce, Benjamin Jr., Brayla, Sanii, Robert Jr., Sam, Sparkle, Angel, Candice, George Jr., Jayla, Amber, Brandy, Joshua, TJ (Munchie), Cassandra, Terquandra, Tavaris, Donquasha, Antwan; many other cousins, friends, nieces, nephews, coaches, and neighbors who loved him dearly, including his childhood best friend Robert Delgado; special friends, Mario Robinson, Latreze Mushatt, LaMarcus Morris and Jessica Swan; godmother, Lolita Robinson; godfather, Richard Beverly, and significant other, Emily Dillard. He will also be missed by the entire class of 2008. Will was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Annie Irene Sheppard; grandmother, Willie Bell Marlow; grandfathers, Felix Marlow Jr. and Sam Carr; great-aunt, Doris Harris; uncle, Ernest Marlow; sister, Sparkle Carr; and friend, Tristian Calhoun. “Parting comes and hearts are broken.
