Mr. Albert Lee Price

Mr. Albert Lee Price, better known as “Dee” passed away October 29, 2023 at the age of 85 years. He was born on November 17, 1937 in Scott, Mississippi to Alfred Price and Lela Haynes-Price. He was the third of eleven children born to this union. Dee was a kind, polite, and generous man. He never met a stranger. People always commented on how nice of a guy he was, even the staff at the hospital. Dee was a blessing to many and was always there to lend a helping hand to all those in need. He was a great father, a great friend and a great man. Dee received his early education in Bolivar County, Mississippi. He loved education. He purchased many books to aid in his learning. He relocated to Saginaw, MI in 1963 where he began working at Saginaw Grey Iron Metal Casting Operations, General Motors Corp. He never missed a day of work during his 40 years of service, retiring in February of 2004. Dee also enjoyed watching YouTube Videos of old boxing matches, farming, hunting, fishing and RVing to name a few. He also liked watching PBS, CNN, ESPN, old westerns and the news on TV. Albert was a “True Man of God” and a “Servant of the Lord”. He was a longstanding member of Bethlehem Temple Church in Flint, MI for 55+ years, beginning his membership under the Pastorship of District Elder Booker T. Scott, then District Elder Jerry T. Lewis and currently under Suffragan Bishop Phillip J. Thompson. He was a self-taught bible Scholar and a prayer warrior. He also served as an Usher. He boldly shared the Word of God with others. Mr. Price leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Albert D. Price, Flint, MI and Jeremy R. Price, Saginaw; one step-son, Rollen (Katrina) Poole, Burton, MI; four daughters, Terri Lynn Price, Mt. Morris, MI, LeVoid Price, Swartz Creek, MI, Jennifer (Tierre) Brundige, Saginaw and Rosie Sawyer, St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Raymond and LaKisha Sawyer both of St. Louis, MO; four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren all of St. Louis, MO; one brother, Freddie L. Price, Fort Wayne, IN; two sisters, Lealer (Lavelle) McFerson, Fort Wayne, IN and Irma (Jamal) Price-Calais, Saginaw; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Albert Lee Price was preceded in death by his wife, Marean Price; son, Samuel Price; grandson, Rodney Sawyer; parents, Alfred and Lela Haynes-Price; siblings, Robert L. Price, Bessie M. Carter, Tommie L. Price, Dororthy P. Sanders, Ruby L. Price, Willie L. Price, and Mamie L. Price; step-son, Gwen Poole; ex-wife, Genora L. “Helen” Price. Family hour 10:30 AM Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Bethlehem Temple Church, 3401 Martin Luther King Ave., Flint, MI 48505 with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Suffragan Bishop Phillip J. Thompson, officiating. Entombment will take place in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 7475 E. Holland Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
