Mrs. Alisha Yvette Foster-Delouth

Alisha Yvette Foster-Delouth passed away after a brief illness on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Presbyterian Hospital, Albuquerque, NM at the age of 56 years at 5:36 p.m. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on December 20, 1968 the daughter of Lillie B. Wright and Franklin R. Foster. Alisha attended Saginaw Catholic Schools & Buena Vista School District. Alisha was a dedicated worker in the medical field for many years as a Certified Med-Tech Nursing Assistant. She loved working with the elderly and bringing a special light to their day. Many of the clients and their families adored her. She grew up in the Christian faith in Saginaw, MI. As a youth she was a member of the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. Later she attended Word of Faith International Ministries and Christ Kingdom Ministries. Alisha also studied under and had a special place in her heart for Evangelist Lydia Bishop of Saginaw, MI. She later moved to Albuquerque, NM in 2011. Alisha loved the Lord and would study the word. She would often reference 2 Timothy 2:15 saying “We must study to show thyself approved..” Alisha was a powerful Minister of Dance and preferred dancing alone saying she is led by the Holy Spirit. She was also a Prayer Warrior and had a heart for the homeless. Alisha had a lively, cheerful and comedic spirit. She had a special gift of discernment and a sensitive and beautiful soul. Alisha was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt; she leaves to cherish many memories; husband, Billy Delouth; son, Tra”Vhon Darmes Wright; seven grandchildren, Alecsis Smith, Ay’Sia Smith, JeiVyn Wright, Ty’Shawn Darmes Lee Vaughn, Tra’Vhon Darmes Wright, Jr., Travell Wright and Tru Wright; two sisters, Jennifer (Versie) Reynolds and Gabrilla Winters; special niece/sister, Atosha Latrice Newsome, great-nephew, DeMarrio Newsome; three great-nieces, Tomyah Newsome, Serenity Reynolds and Jasmine Newsome; three great-great-nieces, Kamryn, J’veryah and Novah; great-great-nephew, Devarrio; three special aunts,, Lela Johnson, Barbara Abraham and Annie Lavender; a host of cousins including special cousins, Kevin Douglass, Katanya Abraham, Damita Bowles, Cookie Kelly, Shelbie Williams, Kimberly Banks-Hardy, Napoleon “Po Po” Sledge, Duran Johnson and Brenda Lavender; special friends, Dionne Barrett, Rosalie Peters, Tiona Smith-Beard, Brandi Washington, Michael Camp and Barry Shorter; aunts from Kelley & Foster families, other relatives and friends; and lastly her dearly beloved fur baby, “Lil Bear”. Alisha was preceded in death by her father, Franklin R. Foster; mother, Lillie B. Wright; grandmother, Volina Foster and Jettie L. Eskridge; grandfather, Arthur Foster; brother, Ben “Puddin” Wesley Newsome, Jr.; sister, Jocelyn Michele Gordon; uncle, John W. Jones and special cousins, Marcheeto Lavendar, Yolanda Douglass, Bobby Abraham, Jr. and Kim Lee. We would like to thank Bishop Larry Camel, First Lady Shirley Camel and New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Wilmer Jones Ham and the Tyler family. We are most grateful for the gift of friends and family who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of sorrow. May God bless each of you. Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, 3121 Sheridan Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Bishop Larry D. Camel will officiate.
