Mrs. Annie "May May" Williamson

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother Annie M. (Jackson) Williamson went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the blessed age of 83 years. She was born December 31, 1933 in Senatobia, Mississippi the daughter of Jessie James and Marie (Webb) Jackson. Mrs. Williamson was employed at Vlasic Pickle Factory for a brief period of time. Upon leaving Vlasic, she became a fulltime homemaker for her children. Annie was married to Fred Williamson for 31 years, he preceded her in death. She was a devoted member of Christ Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Harold Gates and former Pastor Cedric Cheatham. Annie also served on the Kitchen Committee where she was known as the “Chicken Frying Lady”. She loved to cook! Mrs. Williamson leaves to cherish precious memories her children, Monroe McGhee (Cynthia), Atlanta, GA, John Earl (Gloria) McGhee, Memphis, TN, LaVern Jackson, Omaha, NE, Alice F. Williamson (Willie), Saginaw, MI, Brenda Mulageta (Rueben), Elgin, IL, Glory J. Sampson, (Sherman), Saginaw, MI, Barbara A. and Mary L. Williamson both of Saginaw, MI, Amy J. Williamson, Atlanta, GA, Denise Williamson (Greg), Charlotte, NC; 19 grandchildren, Jamar Williamson, Ericka Salina, Ebony Daniel (James) Ogweno, Crystal Williamson, Marquetta (Derrick) Williams, Sharday Sampson, Toryon Williamson, Christina Williamson, Sherman Sampson, Jr., Jeremy Williamson, Amerika Williamson, Marquiesh Southward, Bianca Williamson, Willus Southward, Zachary Williamson, Whitney Williamson, Gregory Daniel II, Brandy Sampson and Aaliyah Williamson; 54 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Jackson, MoDena (Cleveland) Williamson, Ethel Jean (Willie Thomas), Joel (Linda) Williamson, Estelle (Roosevelt) Wright, Willie Jean Farmer, Mary Pearl Burton, Annie Bea Anderson; adopted daughters, Beveline Wilson and Renee Kaiser; a host of special nieces, nephews to whom auntie always said, “You are not a motherless child”, and loving friends including true dear friends, Shirley (JT) Jones, Lillie (Freddie) Moore, Will Buchanan, Janice Carter Redeemer and the Golden Girls. Mrs. Williamson was also preceded in death by two sons, Randy B. McGhee and Eric Williamson; her parents, Jessie and Marie Jackson; sisters, Gertrude Jackson Hunter, Lucille Westbrook, Alice Jackson and Roberta Jackson; brothers, Jessie James Jackson, Jr. Claude Jackson, Thurmond Jackson and mother and father-in-law: Ethel Shipp and Cleveland Williamson. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2017 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue. Pastor Cedric Cheatham will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
