Mr. Anthony Harwell

Mr. Anthony Duane Harwell passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, with his loving family at his side. Sunday, August 2, 2026 at the age of 35 years he transitioned to his eternal resting place. Anthony was born December 27, 1990 in Dearborn, Michigan the son of Finis and Lori Harwell. He was a graduate of Bridgeport High School “Class of 2009” and attended Baker College. Anthony became a longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio. He was employed at LSS Faith Mission in Columbus as a Crisis Prevention Specialist. Anthony enjoyed outdoor activities such as festivals, walking and exploring the city of Columbus and its beautiful parks and had fun when he attended events such as Columbus Comic con and Buckeye sport events. He also enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying new recipes. He would take pictures to prove he could cook. Although he and his mom lived in different states, they had a special connection as they shared laughter and discussion while watching the same TV show. Anthony found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Mr. Anthony Duane Harwell leaves to cherish many memories, his beloved daughter, Se’Van Barnes, Saginaw, MI his father, Finis Harwell, Sr. of Nashville, TN; his devoted mom and dad, Lori Stringer and Maurice Woods of Saginaw, MI; brother, Finis (Tiffany) Harwell, Jr. of Orlando, FL; aunts, Cornell “Connie” (James) Walton, Sr., Clio, MI and Patricia Brown of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Carl (Jacqueline) Stringer, Saginaw, MI, Tony (Jackie) Brown, Tennessee and Roger Hood, Michigan; niece, Harper Harwell and nephew, Finis Harwell III, both of Orlando, FL; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Devon Brackens, Mario Williams and the Woods family. Mr. Harwell was proceeded in death by his beloved grandparents, Riley and Victory Stringer, Willie Lee and Lucille Harwell; aunts, Toni Chaffer and Christine Brown; uncles, Leon Brown, Jamaril “Choo” Brown and Patrick Stringer. Anthony D. Harwell will be remembered for his warmth, kindness and love for family. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation, the many comforting messages prayers and other expressions of kindness shown during this difficult time. Special thanks, Mt. A very special thanks to our family at Masonic Pathways of Alma, MI, William Mitchell, the entire staff of the VDC unit, MyMichigan Health of Alma, MI, Wound Treatment Center, Christina, Barb, nurse staff. We will forever cherish the professionalism, sincere thoughtfulness and kind gestures shown to Anthony. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Min. Silas Brazil will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
