Anthony Tolliver,

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street. Rev. Thomas J. London, Host Pastor. Rev. Roosevelt Austin, Sr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Ave. on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m., where the family will be present from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Tolliver passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at the age of 55 years. He was born June 21, 1952 in Saginaw, MI, the son of Mose and Dr. Marie Wright Tolliver. Anthony was a 1970 graduate of Buena Vista High School. He attended Western Michigan University and in 1994, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Saginaw Valley State University. He was a former member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and the Christian Tabernacle Church in Roselle, IL. He was currently attending New Covenant Christian Center. Mr. Tolliver leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife, Jacquline Ann Garrison-Tolliver; three sons, Anthony Jerome Tolliver, II and Adrian Tolliver, both of Saginaw, MI and Jeremy Tolliver of Park Forest, IL; two stepdaughters, Alissa M. Garrison of W. Chicago, IL and Yvonne F. Charles of Park Forest, IL; one grandchild, Anthony Jerome Tolliver, III; his mother, Dr. Marie Wright Tolliver; three sisters, Barbara J. Tolliver Pittman of Saginaw, MI, Gwendolyn (Donnie) Chambers of Oak Forest, IL and Sheila Tolliver Porter of Saginaw, MI; two brothers, David R. (Carol) Tolliver of Rockford, IL and Mose Tolliver, III of Country Club Hills, IL; four aunts, Marguerite Flowers of Vicksburg, MS, Mae Owens of Simi Valley, CA, Delores (Ronald) Puplava of Belvidere, IL and Constance L. (Otis) Jack of Matteson, IL; two uncles, John Wright, Jr. of Saginaw, MI and Lee Andrew Tolliver of Vicksburg, MS; one sister-in-law, Barbara Glover of Hopkinsville, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special cousins, John Lennon Ellis of Los Angeles, CA, Charles T. Jackson of Muskegon, MI, Dennis Jones of Southfield, MI and Floyd Jones of Denver, CO and special friends, Leon Jackson, Jack Young, William Clifton, Larry Conway, Jimmy Fields and Rev. Ronald Frierson. He was preceded in death by his father, Mose Tolliver and his grandparents, John and Hazel Wright.
