Mrs. Beulah Mae Almond

Beulah Mae Almond, a cherished staple resident of Buena Vista Township, entered into the presence of the Lord on March 8, 2024, at 10:08 am. Beulah's life was a testament to love, service, and unwavering faith. Beulah dedicated many years of her life as a bus driver for the Buena Vista School District, where she formed deep connections with her students, whom she adored dearly. Her commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life as Beulah was a faithful servant of Tabernacle Baptist Missionary Church, holding the title of Missionary and found solace and joy in singing with the gospel choir. Family was at the center of Beulah's world. Known for her wisdom and nurturing spirit, Beulah was a matriarch always ready to offer invaluable guidance to her family, even at times they may be reluctant to receive it. Beulah's passions included singing, knitting, nurturing her cherished plants, and her striking hats! Her vibrant personality was one everyone cherished, and Ms. Almond left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Known for her loving, generous, and resilient spirit, Beulah was described by those who knew her as incredibly tough yet full of light, joy, and laughter. Beulah was tremendously proud of her eight children and their successes - Azalee Williams (Patrick), Ned Almond (transitioned) Larry Almond, Tommie Almond III (transitioned), Minister Dr. Linda Almond-Logan, Henry Almond, Cynthia Nobles (Eric), and Thomasa Almond (Michael Sheriff). In her later years, Beulah found solace and companionship in the care of her niece, Joyice Green, whose presence brought comfort and joy to her days. Beulah took immense pride in caring for her six grandchildren for decades and showering love upon her eleven great-grandchildren. Grandsons Carter McWright Jr. and Tariq Williams (Ivory Giles), granddaughters Latasha Potter (Corey), Tiffany Washington, and Patrice Carr (Andrew). Along with a multitude of great-grandchildren, including Brian McWright, Damoni McWright, Azalee Almond, Ladarius McWright, Martrell Jackson, Leyliana Moreno, Mallory McWright, Aquaryus Carr, Jeremiah Carr, Amir Carr, and Cherish Carr, Samir Williams, and Ijeoma Ononuju. Beulah is also survived by numerous cousins, great cousins, and a host of other family and friends. Each of her children devoted themselves to nurturing their Mom, and she held a special gratitude towards her eldest, Azalee, and her youngest, Thomasa, for their unwavering daily care, which continued until her final breath. Beulah leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience, and she will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. We draw comfort in knowing Beulah rests peacefully in heaven, reunited with her first and only love, Tommie Almond, where they will forever watch over their beloved family. A celebration of life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Blake Strozier will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washiington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. where the family will greet guests from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
