Mrs. Billie Lee Curry

Well done, thy good and faithful servant! Matthew 25:23 Mrs. Billie Lee Curry, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the age of 87. Billie was born on November 29, 1938 in Longview, Texas to Ross and Tommie Lilly (Perkins). During her childhood the family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, where she attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School. Billie was a dedicated employee of Michigan Bell for 34 years until her retirement. Billie found joy working in her yard, traveling, bowling and loved settling down with a good book. All three of her daughters shared her joy of reading. She was especially known for her exceptional made from scratch carrot cake, a treasured favorite among family and friends. Bille was also an award-winning Avon Representative who enjoyed delivering orders personally and a longstanding member of the Mahogany Club. Sister Curry was a faithful and devoted member of New Life Ministries for many years under the leadership of Pastor Rufus Bradley. A loving and great woman of God, Billie was deeply rooted in her faith. She was known as a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, and friends-someone whose love, wisdom and prayers touched everyone she encountered. Beautiful inside and out, she exemplified grace, kindness, and unwavering strength. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her children, Lester Williams, Tammy Williams, Starr Curry and Allen Curry, Jr. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Lauren, Brooke and Surraya Williams, Shalanda Jackson, Ronald White, Ebonee, Hiakeim, Edgar and Stephon Hunt, Roger Coleman III, Devin Coleman, Quinntoya, Ashley, Jaquavis, Kane, Shaqwenyah and Trevion Curry; a host of great-grandchildren’ great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Ean White; nieces, Tiffany Boone and Lacey Horetski; great-nieces and nephews; extended family members and friends. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Curry; daughter, Sheila Hunt; grandson, Allen Curry III; parents, Ross Lilly and Tommie Scott; brother, Ross Leroy Lilly; Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026 at New Life Baptist Ministries, 1401 Janes Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Dr. Craig Tatum will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MIchigan 48601. Visistaton will take place on Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
