Ms. Cassandra Yvonne Smith

Cassandra “San” Yvonne was born August 16, 1977 in Saginaw, Michigan to the proud parents of Delmon and Judy (Oehlers) Smith. She passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017 at the age of 40 years. San was a graduate of Saginaw High School “Class of 1996”. She enjoyed music, laughing and talking. Her favorite saying was, “Keep it platinum baby”. San loved and adored her little grandson, “Watermelon”. Ms. Cassandra Yvonne Smith leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Jazzmine and Sen’Neisha Smith; one son, Delmon’Tre Smith, all of Saginaw, MI; ”; mother, Judy Smith; the father of her children, Seneca Rodriquez; one grandson, ZyAire Jace Martin “Watermelon”; a glimmer in her eye, Jada Rodriquez; god-parents, Barb and Dan Donaugh of Marion, OH; four sisters, Sabrina and Sylvia Smith, Evelyn Crockett, all of Chicago, IL and Della Smith of Columbus, OH; one brother, Fenwick Henry of Grand Blanc, MI; two aunts, Ina Byrd of Columbus, OH and Jane Severns of Marion, OH; three uncles, Willie (Candice) Johnson of Ellenwood, GA, Jack (Joyce) Oehlers of Upper Sandusky, OH and Joe Oehlers of Marion, OH; a host of loving nieces, nephews, loving cousins and special cousins, Verlinda Johnson and Marc Whitson; many other relatives and friends including a special friend, dear to her heart, Leroy Brooks; very special friend, Marquitta Ingram; friends, Laquitta, Keisha, Key-Key, Tiesha Ness, the Brooks, Rodriquez, Ingram, Huell Families and a host of other family and friends. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her father, Delmon Smith; two brothers, Delmon Smith, Jr. and William Henry; grandparents, Thomas and Mable Smith and John and Bettye Oehlers. The family would like to express special thanks to Ruby McGee and family, Shevonn Betts, Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, Pastor Robert Davis, Jr. and Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church family . Funeral service will take place Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, 818 North Washington Avenue, Pastor Robert Davis, Jr. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave. on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
