Charles Culberson

Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Rosehill Baptist Church, 2403 E. Remington St., with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Murry Culberson, Host Pastor. Elder Provis Carter will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Charles Randolph Culberson, Saginaw, MI. Devoted Christian, loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 58 years. The son of T.F. and Hargie Ruth Culberson was born January 26, 1954 in Winston County, MS. They preceded him in death. Charles was a member of Emmanuel Church of Deliverance, chairman of the Brother Committee and served as program director. He retired from Eaton Manufacturing in 2003 after 34 years of service. Mr. Culberson was an entrepreneur of DaShay Car Wash, C.C. Trucking, Bad Frog Beer, and C.C. Car Wash Home of Luster Shine. He served in the United States Army. Charles loved his family and had a great sense of humor that would make everyone smile. He was admired for being a sharp dresser and known for his hats. His memory will be cherished by Brenda Culberson a loving and devoted wife of 39 years; one daughter, Shalon Morris, Nashville, TN; one son, Antoine (Sheilita) Culberson, Lansing, MI; five loving grandchildren, Shabria, Michael, Brittany, Ashley, and Brandon; six sisters and four brothers, Bonnie Curry, Sam (Brenda J.) Culberson, Jenny Culberson all of Saginaw, MI; Attorney Eva (Larry) Matthews, Dothan, AL, Rev. Murry (Evelyn) Culberson, Bobby (Jackie) Culberson, Nannie Culberson, Sadie Culberson, all of Saginaw, MI, Willie (Marcie) Culberson, Lansing, MI, and Mildred (Chris Diggs) Culberson, Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Eunice Johnson, brother-in-law, Jimmy Morris, both of Alabama; very special uncle and aunt, Pastor Elder Provis and Fannie Carter; a host of precious nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends. Charles was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Sims.
