Mr. Clemington Haulcy

Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and cousin at the age of 81 years, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Clemington Haulcy, Jr. was born September 11, 1937 in Simbora, Louisiana and attended Arcadia High School and Grambling College. He later enlisted into the U. S. Army and after receiving an Honorable Discharge he relocated to Saginaw, Michigan. He was employed for 50 years, then retired from Saginaw Malleable Iron Plant, General Motors Corp. as a pattern maker. He was faithful member of Full Gospel Holy Temple under the leadership of Bishop Zachary Williams and First Lady Vina Williamson. Clemington enjoyed reading the bible, bowling, gardening, baseball and spending time with his family. After retiring he enjoyed working as a Crossing Guard on Genesee and Webber where he would wave to everyone that passed by. Mr. Haulcy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 43 years, Luella “Mary” Haulcy; children, Anthony Scruggs and Rinner (Julie) Haulcy, both of Saginaw; 11 grandchildren, Briana (Tyler), Castle Rock, CO, Rinner, Jr., Houston, TX, Jalen, Brunswick, OH, Matthew, Jerica, Dequan, Reniah, MiKayla, Jasmine, Jeremy and Lani all of Saginaw; god-daughter, Shon McCulloh Pratt; five sisters, Nellie McCulloh, Ennis Brown Foster, Saginaw, Dorothye (Will) Haulcy, Arcadia, LA, Alicia and Latricia, Sparks, NV; step-mother, JoAnn (Merlin) Simpson of Sparks, NV; special niece, Denise McCulloh; special cousin, Mitchell Watley of Cleveland, OH; a host of other family and friends including special friends, Lem Hughes, Velton Lowery, Moty McKinney, Sr. Bobbie and his Barber Shop friends on Dixie Hwy. Mr. Haulcy was preceded in death by his parents, Clemington, Sr. and Eliza Haulcy; daughter, Patricia Haulcy; grandparents, Green B. and Stella Haulcy and Bob and Mattie Watley; brother, L.C. Harris; sisters, Margiree Jackson and Loretta Wyche; mother-in-law, Frankie James and a nephew, Jasper L. Myles. The family would like to give a special thank you to Nurse, Haley 5th floor South and Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital and Nurse Karen from Hospice. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Full Gospel Holy Temple, 1200 East Genesee, Saginaw, MI. Bishop Zachary Williamson will officiate with interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Family will be present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to greet friends.
