Ms. Felicia McCaw

Felicia McCaw passed away peacefully on July 30, 2021 in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 58 years. Her family loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed. She was loved by family, friends and all that came in contact with her. She was a Christian woman who loved that Lord. She was loving, caring and compassionate to all people. Felicia McCaw was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 29, 1963 to Mary Alice Barnett and Major Waddell “Pete” Barnett. They preceded her in death. She had no children, but she had an undeniable love for her cats which she treated like her babies. Felicia accomplished many things throughout her lifespan. She had a genuine love for the City of Saginaw. She worked for the City of Saginaw for over 13 years in the City Tax Assessor Office where she expressed sheer dedication for her community. Felicia graduated from Saginaw High School with honors in the National Honors Society. She attended Saginaw Valley State University where she studied Business Administration, and Strayer University studying Criminal Justice. She received an invitation to join Golden Key International National Honors Society in 2016 and 2017. Felicia has received honors from every school she has attended dating back from 1977 to 2021. One of her greatest moments was when she received recognition from President Barack Obama in January 2017. She received a “Thank You” letter for her paper she wrote for” Peace Officers Memorial Day and Police Week in 2015”. That was a great acknowledgement and one of the most memorable moments of her life to receive a letter from our First Black President of the United State of America, President Barack Obama. Felicia McCaw leaves cherished memories with her family, brother, Chester (Valerie) McCaw; sisters, Brenda J. (Randy) McCaw-Brayant, Wilheminia M. McCaw and Wilma D. (Anthony) McCaw-Barnette; four aunts, Beatrice Hamilton, Eleanor Dillard, Patricia Jackson and Marva Barnette; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Ms. McCaw was also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert E. McCaw, Jr., Valencia L. McCaw, Jeffrey A. McCaw and Jeanette Mitchell. Felicia loved her family and community very much. She had the most caring heart for all people and undying desire to help anyone in need. Our sister, will be missed but never forgotten and always in our hearts. Our prayer; Psalm 23
