Mr. Howard James Coleman

Howard James Coleman, father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was born February 8, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan. He passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at the age of 69 years. He was a graduate of Saginaw High School Class of “69” and attended Ferris State College majoring in English. He enlisted in and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He also worked 52.9 years General Motors Corporation. His greatest passion was golf. He was a member of Saginaw Travelers Golfing League. Howard and Lula met in 1997 and after 20 years, they became one on May 31, 2014. His legacy lives on through his children, Shawn (Louis) Deweaver, Nicole Coleman and James (Joann) Coleman; he was god-father to two children, Troy Townsend and Brooklyn Stewart; grandchildren, Tyesha, Karee, Leah, Delvontre, Jimarion, Jamiah, Sanaa, Brittani, Hermoine and Azaria; great-grandchildren, Bailee and Melodiee; brother, Steve (Karen) Coleman; sisters, Kathryn (Jerry) Banks, Shelia Rogan, Marcia Coleman and Barbara Coleman; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Lula B. Johnson, Sr., Charlie (Cathy) Cork, Bud Gill, Paula (Anthony) Polk and Charlie Mccaklin. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edna Coleman; one brother, Richard Coleman. The family extends special thanks to Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital and Elara Caring: Jodie and Dana. Visitation will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. A private funeral service will be held, Rev.
