Mr. John Anthony Harris

Mr. John Anthony Harris was born November 28, 1980 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Ricky Terrell and Terrylyn Harris. He passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at the age of 43 years. He was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. John loved music and rapping. He attended Saginaw Pubic Schools where he gained many friends as he was very well known. John worked as a handyman he was always a fixer. He loved working on houses and painting with his father and brother. John’s hobbies were making music, drawing, gymnastics and he loved to dress, he loved turning old shoes into new. John was very down to earth and easy to talk to. He got along with everybody young and old and everybody he knew was his family. He loved spending time with his family from all sides and he never treated anyone less than the other. He would always leave you with an, “ I love you” and a hug. He loved visiting his mom and spending time with his children teaching them how to dress and clean their shoes and encouraging them through ways of life. He leaves to cherish many memories his wife, Vyquetta Harris; 18 children including, Jaliah, Jaman, Johnquavious, Jabriya, Jamilya and Jaterria Harris, Jada and Jaylen Love and Daron Blakely; grandchildren, Jalyani Jones and Detavian Favorite; grandparent, Julia Humphry; sisters, Mellendy Harris, Markiesha Robinson, Sharonda McKenzie, JiKayla Works, Katrice Simmons-Brinson, Jon’toya Williams, Canjalett Mayes, and Jomesha Gochett; brothers, Albert Brookins, Jr., Torrey Hulett, Fontaine Harris, Mark Robinson, Ricky, Anthony and Derrick (Parham), Terry Reed III, DeMarcus, Omar (Nelson), Duane Hurston and Juston Greenman; bonus mother, Stephanie Terrell (wife of Ricky); bonus dad, Lorrie Williams; seven aunts including Nadine and Patricia Harris; two uncles including Mathew, Randy, Charles and Jerry Harris; several special cousins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, Jamel “Sticks” Williams, “Thriller” and his South Park family. Mr. John Anthony Harris was preceded in death by a brother, Jamer Williams; grandmother, Willie Mae Terrell; grandfathers, Johnny Works and Eddie Harris; bonus mother, Beth Ann Williams; Jaterria, Carriejean and Jerry Harris, Hennery Lee Franklin, Jamar Williams and Katherine Works; favorite cousin, Willie Franklin; sister-in-law, Tinesha Brookins. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Dr. Willie F. Casey will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
