Mrs. Johnnie Mae Haynes

Mrs. Johnnie Mae Haynes was born on September 29, 1948 in Collins (Williamsburg Community), Mississippi to the parents of D.C. and Dora Magee. On July 30, 2022 our beloved passed away at the age of 73 years. Mrs. Haynes was born into a family of 13 children, seven boys and six girls. She relocated to Saginaw, Michigan over 50 years ago, she gained employment at General Motors Corporation, was a Primary Care Provider and a hairstylist. She was a dedicated member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her seven chickens, fishing, cooking, playing cards, weekend trips to the casino, bingo and spending time with family and friends. Mrs. Johnnie Mae Haynes leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 34 years, Mr. Wilkie Haynes. They did everything together; they were not only husband and wife they were best friends. They shared a unique bond that will be greatly missed. She also leaves her devoted children, son, Gregory Agee and his kids, Greg Ball, Ericka, Jarnisha, Candice, Charles, Greg Agee, Jr., Selena, Roxanne, Alisha, Justin, Keno, Lil Doug, Brittany and Serena; daughter, Zeldia Haynes and her kids, LaToria, Tamara and Ramiro; a very special niece/daughter, Mary Agee who never hesitated to fulfill any need for not only her Aunt Johnnie, but also her uncle Wilkie. Constantly expressing her love no matter how far away she was. If she couldn’t bring it, she would send it. Her weekly visits were always anticipated. Harley and Kaleb will greatly miss their “Ole TeeTee”; other grandchildren, Keyona, Derrick, Ceaira, Corrien, Adrian, Beonkia and Teyani; a host of great-grandchildren; siblings, Josie (Tom) Blue of Birch Run, MI, Minnie Jackson, Saginaw, Mary Magee and Charles (Samantha) Martin both of Collins, MS, Dora (Larry) LeCom, Savannah, GA, James (Denise) Magee, Poplarville, MS and Rosie Cooper, Marrero, LA. Mrs. Haynes leaves other loved relatives and friends. Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death by her parents, D.C. and Dora Magee; sons, Douglas and Obie Agee and Derrick Haynes; a grandson, Joseph Ball; siblings, Walter, Willie, Leffie, Jimmie and Johnny Magee. The family extends a special thank you to Henry Ford Oncology Department; Covenant 6th floor staff; Cindy of Hospice at Covenant; Odessa at Visiting Nurses and Aunt Minnie for all of the times you were there. To Robert Larry, Troy and Grady for sitting up all night with Wilkie on his first night without his best friend, and the staff of Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Rev. Eddie Jackson will officiate. Interment will take place in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 East Holland Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
