Mrs. Laura Della Richardson

Our beloved mother, grandmother and sister went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the blessed age of 90 years. She was born May 24, 1925 in Van, Arkansas, the daughter of Eugene Malcom Wilson and Daisy Lee Duncan. Laura was an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church until her health failed. She enjoyed doing home care for the elderly and one of her favorite hobbies was bowling. Laura loved cooking for her family especially around the holidays and her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. Mrs. Laura Della Richardson leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Joyce Lewis of Saginaw, MI; daughter-in-law, Beverly Richardson; step-children, R.C. (Betty), L.C. (Mary) and LeRoy Richardson; grandchildren, Duane “Skip” (Bethaney) Richardson, Jr., Damion “Snap” (Jennifer) Richardson, Sr., Trameka “Pebbles” (Willie) Rodgers, Jr., Jason “Captain” (Jackie) Richardson, Sr., Tiffany “Sunshine” Richardson, Terrence “Brighteyes” (Laura) Richardson, Triston “Popcorn” Richardson, Epris “Baby Ann” (Lawrence) Harris, Imani “Lil Bit” Richardson, Greg (Janice) Richardson, Andre Keels, Ahmad “Rooster” (Audrey) Keels, Adrian “Abraham” Keels, Gwen (Gregory) Jackson, Donald (Andrea) Richardson, Corey “Hotrod” (Rochelle) Richardson and Renee Dupree; forty great-grandchildren who were her abundance of joy; sister, Ruth Daniels; also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including, Janie Cork, Dorothy Harris, Edna Drake, Elaine Cook, Dorothy Longuemire and Louise Taylor. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Richardson; two sons, Myron Richardson and Duane Richardson; step-son, James Richardson; parents, Eugene Malcom Wilson and Daisy Lee Duncan; sisters, Wilma Ramson and Merlene Walker; brothers, E. M. Wilson, Jr. and A.D. Wilson; and son-in-law, Roy Lewis. The family would like to express special thanks to Well Springs Lutheran Services and her granddaughter, Tiffany Richardson. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue. Pastor P. David Saunders will be officiate, with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
