Mrs. Myrra Wilson

On August 29th, 2020 our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Myrra Wilson went home to be with the Lord. Myrra was born June 17, 1933 in Greensville, Mississippi to parents Rance Jackson and Dollie Bessie Cooper who preceded her in death. Myrra was an only child raised by her grandmother the late Joanna Blanchard. Myrra worked at the Saginaw Club for many years and was a dedicated employee. She was a member of First Christian Church of Saginaw, MI, where she served as an usher and a trustee for many years. She also volunteered her time at the First Christian Church soup kitchen and provided transportation for the elderly. Myrra was a current member of Old Town Christian Center of Saginaw, MI. In Myrra’s spare time she loved going to bingo, traveling, fishing and cooking. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Harry Strong and John Henry Jackson (Annie); four daughters, Angela “Sug” Miree, Alice Harrold of Danville, IL; Margaret “Bay Bay” Johnson and Lisa Williams; 17 grandchildren, Andre (Prescious) Williams, Arnise “Shawn” Williams, Unique Strong, Lakeisha Joshuaway of Warren, MI, John Henry Jackson Jr., Shirley “Nesha” Jackson (Kevin), Dana Harris, Maurice Harris (Yvonne), Yvonne Miree, Acquilla (Carl) Bonner of Danville, IL; Ambra (Glen) Caruthers of Gurnee, IL, Jahmila Akinatyo (Derrick) of Danville, IL, Edward Brown, Myrra Johnson of Grand Rapids, MI, Shawn Johnson, Alicia Williams (Calvin) of Dallas, TX and Antwanique “Tay” Williams New of Lansing, MI; 51 great grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren; special friends and family Albert Williams, Linda Williams-Napier and Leslie Harris, including cousin, Lillie Mae Frazier and god-sister, Ernestine Goodman. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilson, god-parents, Andrew and Mary Jo Graham and great grandchild, MyAngel Johnson. The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Healthsource of Saginaw and Covenant Healthcare. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday, September 11, 2020 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. Pastor Bill Bodnar will officiate.
