Mr. Olee "Curley" Brown

Our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at the age of 71 years. He made a peaceful transition at Avista Nursing & Rehab in Saginaw, MI. Mr. Olee “Curley” Brown was born December 19, 1946 in Dallas County, AL to the union of Rev. Ernest and Ethel Brown. Olee was a resident of Essexville, MI, a graduate of Buena Vista High School in Saginaw, MI. His beloved wife of 29 years, Lee Ella (Haynes) Brown preceded him in death in 1993. He was employed and retired from General Motors. After retirement he went on to venture into several opportunities of interest. His memory will be cherished by his three daughters, Vera Avery, Felicia (Jimmie) Truss both of Saginaw, MI and Kenyatta Thomas, Memphis, TN; two sons, Jimmie Brown, Saginaw, MI and Michael Haynes, San Quentin, CA; fourteen grandchildren, Ericia (Tony), Richard, Jr., Jimmie, Jr., Jimmia, Nathaniel, Destiny, Diamond, Diarius, Carmeshiana, Antwonesha, DreMonte, Quinysha, Juamark, Jr. and C’lerra; six great-grandchildren. His memory will also be cherished by his father, Pastor Ernest Brown; his siblings, Cosetta Henley, Amanda (Wade) Cashaw and Jacqueline (James) Thomas, all of Saginaw, MI; one brother, Phillip (Sharlene) Brown, Defiance, OH; one aunt, Ethel Drain, Saginaw, MI; two uncles, James (Mary) Brown, Saginaw, MI and Pastor A.L. Brown (Anne), Selma, AL; a host of nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great- nephews; cousins other relatives and friends including special friends, Barb Przydocki and Larry Hardy. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel M. (Stewart) Brown; wife, Lee Ella (Haynes) Brown; one sister, Vivian Feagin; one brother, Timothy Brown; a granddaughter, Quentavina Williams; aunts, Annie B. Dillard, Lorene Stephenson, Rosie Murdock, Octavia Middlebrook, Beatrice Stewart, Carrie Brown Hines, Willie Mae Brown Harvey, Janette Brown Miller; uncles, Percy, Timothy, David Stewart and Willie Brown; father and mother-in-law, Cornelius and Lucille (Perry) Haynes. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Avista Nursing & Rehab and Heartland Hospice of Saginaw, MI. We also want to extend a special thanks to Pastor Craig Tatum, New Life Baptist Church Ministries and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at New Life Baptist Church, 1401 Janes St., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Craig Tatum will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 a.m.
