Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Greater Free Will Baptist Church, 615 Irving Park Place in Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. James Speed, Pastor. Bishop Charles Middleton, Sr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Mt. Zion New Covenant Baptist Church, 8231 Second Avenue in Detroit, Michigan on Friday from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. and at Greater Free Will Baptist Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Sunrise: January 25, 1961 Sunset: October 1, 2009 GOD says: "When the time came for me to show you favor, I heard you. When the day arrived for me to save you, I helped you." (2 Corinthians 6:1-2) I, Phyllis K. Poole-Goss was born January 25, 1961. I was fortunate to marry the man God appointed to me, Mr. James Milton Goss on March 8, 1996. I cherish the years we spent together. He has been the love of my life and my foundation. I shall miss him dearly. I will forever cherish my other family, who I must say good-bye to: my virtuous mother, Equilar (Charlie) Harris; my siblings, Charles Lee (CL) Poole of Little Rock, AR, Kyra (Frank) Miller of Akron, OH, Sheldon Poole of Dallas, TX and Sheila (James) Swilley of Saginaw, MI. I also cherish my extended family: my father-in-law, Marshall Goss of Saginaw, MI and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alexander Goss and Luevon Goss, Esq. of Saginaw, MI and Detroit, MI, respectively. I love dearly my nieces and nephews: Andre (Nicole) Poole, Jason D. Swilley and I'Esha L. Swilley, all of Saginaw, MI, Jocelyn Goree-Poole of Palm Springs, CA and Shequilar (Floyd) Rhodes of Dallas, TX, Adrienne Goss of Atlanta, GA, Shon Goss of Detroit, MI and Demetrius and Alexander (Boo) Goss, both of Saginaw, MI. I was blessed with seven great-nieces and nephews: Rashad D'Marco and Jalen Nasir Poole of Palm Springs, CA, Andre S. Poole, II, Quindrevion Darrell and Dre'Lyn D'Marco, all of Saginaw, MI and Paige and Paris Goss of Detroit, MI. I also leave a host of aunts, one uncle, many cousins and friends. When the Second coming occurs, I will be reunited with those that preceded me in death: my darling son, Marcell D. Poole, my father, Johnnie E. Poole, my special nephew, James D'Marco Swilley-Poole, my grandparents, mother-in-law, an aunt, uncle and many cousins. Sleep gently until we meet again.
