Quincy "Q" Edward Williams

Quincy was ushered into the presence of the LORD Monday, June 30, 2014, at the age of 43. He was born August 30, 1970 to Nancy Williams and William Tucker. Quincy graduated with the Saginaw High Trojans, class of ’88 where he ran track and field with the “Humpers & Humpetts.” He was an extreme sportsman and volunteered to coach youth sports over the years until his health limited his involvement. He is survived by his mother and father. His memory will live on through his children, Aaliyah and Quincy Williams, Jr., as well as, his bonus son, Charleston (Beth) Hughes. He leaves his grandson Jai’den, and soon to arrive grand-daughter, Aubriy Quincy. His memory will also live on through his nieces and nephews, his name-sake, Quanika Q’Shay Troy, Jr. and Tory Anthonaye Williams, Coreyon Cooper, Shaiqurius, Ameshia, A’Nyah and Darrius Whittington, Antonio, Antonia and A’mirm Colbert. His children were his life. His life will be celebrated by his brothers and sisters, Corey Williams, William, and LaKeisha Whittington and LaCreda (Antonio) Colbert; special sisters and brothers, including Katrina Poole, Donte’ (Tammy) Humes, Hiawatha (Tracey) Smith, Minister MyKing (Pam) Smith, Antonio (Veronica) Jefferies, and Derrick (Maria) Campbell. His life will also be celebrated by his aunts and uncles, Pat Hill, Doretta, Rita Y., Patricia, Rita M., Daniel and Dwane Williams. His fiancée, Felicia Evans and her children, Cierra “CiCi” Evans and Floyd “Duke the Noodle King” Buchanan III, join all who celebrate his life. “Q” was loved by many, including his Brodnex, Burnside and Williams cousins; his friends from Townhouse to Twentieth Street; his boys, Demetrius, Willie, Donnell, Jimmy and Joseph; his God-sister, Gina (Marcus) Wade and God-brothers, Tariq & Jamal Smith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Mary Tucker, Sr., Wardell and Dorothy Williams; one aunt, Charlene Jones; three uncles, Ronald Tucker, Delbert Williams, and Andrew Williams; one God-Mother, Sarah Campbell; two God-sisters, Sharon and Kwyna Moore; and two brothers, Aaron “Meat Loaf” Porter and Troy “T-Roy” Williams. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the World Outreach Campus, 2405 Bay Road. Pastor Hurley J. Coleman, Jr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
