Mr. Stanley Wayne Howell

Mr. Stanley Wayne Howell our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend went home to be the Lord on December 18, 2019 at the age of 71 years. He was born August 17, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan to Quincy Howell and Magnolia (Parks) Howell. Mr. Howell was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He received an Honorable Discharge after serving in the United States Air Force. Stanley retired from the City of Saginaw, Waste Water Treatment Plant. He loved playing his bass guitar. He played at New Life Baptist Ministries for many years. He was a generous, loving person, and would give you his last. He was a mentor to many who called him, “Uncle Stan”. Stanley leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Junell Howell, Saginaw, MI; three daughters, Sharla Wright, Colton, CA. LaTrina Howell-(Ronald)Smith, Laguna Beach, CA and Mary Howell (Michael) Jackson, Houston, TX; six stepchildren, Maurice, Barry, Terrance (Jessica) and Christopher (Monai) Webb, Howard (Krystal), Dambriell (Lamia) McClendon. one bonus daughter, Mckeyia Neely; 21 grandchildren, Marsades and Larry Boggs Jr., Dominique Howell, Andre’ Wiggins, Jr., Jerrett Wright, Ni’Asia and Aija Howell, Demarion, Ma’Ryah, and Dontrell McClendon, Mackenzie and Lyric Wilson, Nevaeh Jackson, Jaiden and Jordynn Young, Brooklyn and Brianna Webb, Dambriell, Jr. and Lamir McClendon, Taylor and C J Webb; four great-grandchildren, SaMaiyah Holmes, Kevin Payne, Khalil and Khaliyah Boggs; seven god-children, Debra (Fredrick) Hunter, Camari Hunt, Jordan Frazier, Lauren, Kourtney, Tramaine, Jr. and John Brooks; two sisters, Rev. Lillian McKinney, Tupelo, MS and Alcie (Bonnie) Wilson; one aunt, Drucilla Ivy, Shreveport, LA; sisters-in-law, Gloria Jelks, Linda (Preston) Johnson, Saginaw, MI, Anita (Cornell) Scott, Lansing, MI, Shirley Hooker, Cleveland, OH, Bertha (AC) Haymon, Suzie (Willie) Parker, Masserlonia (Jimmy) Owens and Joella Liscomb all of Chicago, IL; one brother-in-law, Ivory Owens, Chicago, IL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Mr. Howell was preceded in death by his son, Stanley Wayne Howell II; parents, Quincy and Magnolia Howell; two brothers, Darrell and Alvin Howell; a sister, June Davis; nephews, Andre’ Starr Howell, and his grandmother, Lexie Wright. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2019, at New Life Baptist Ministries, 1401 Janes Street, Saginaw, MI 40601, with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Craig Tatum will officiate with interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442. Visitation will take place at 9:00 am until the time of service.
