Stone N. Roberson

Stone Roberson, 16, of Saginaw, MI, passed away on August 20, 2013. Stone was born in Saginaw, MI to the late Edd Roberson and Barbara A. Roberson. Stone was currently attending Saginaw Career Complex. He was employed at the Bavarian Inn Restaurant in Frankenmuth, MI. Stone was very athletic throughout grade school, as he started playing sports (Soccer) at the age of five. Stone began to develop an interest in basketball and became well-known for his skills, as well as some interest in football. Stone participated in several Amateur Athletic Union (AAU-Saginaw Underdawgs) tournaments that allowed him to travel throughout the country with his team. As reflected, Stone had the ability to adapt too many things. More recently he took on a special interest in music, as he loved to rap, write, and produce. He became a part of a local group called Y.N.C.M.G./ D.O.E./GBN DuffieBoyz CEO. Stone was an active member of New Fellowship C.O.G.I.C., where he loved to play the drums. He loved to travel as he has visited Haiti, Jamaica, and Mexico. Stone could be described as a great cook, one who loved to spread his humor, has an awesome smile, was a great dancer, and had positive energy. Stone was a people person at all times. Above all, Stone was a closely bonded family man. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Roberson; grandfather, Superintendent Bobbie Price Sr.; five siblings, Kristen Duran (Arlington, Texas), Donald, Donyell , DonNece, and Donae Patrick (all of Saginaw, MI); two nieces, Jordan Duran and Ladonna Patrick; three nephews, Javian and Jayden Duran and Andre Stidhum; seven aunts, Carol Walker (Daryl), Robin Price, Barbra J. Roberson, Carol Jones, Jannie Johnson, Gloria Ford and Gladys Williams; three uncles, Bobby Price Jr., Kenneth Roberson and Ronnie Tate; special cousins, Edd D. and Deandre Roberson, Mackiah Price, Da’Veona Jackson, Briana Jones and DonQuaya Brown; and special friends, Tarrie Sparks, Elijah Miller and DayQuan Robinson. Stone has a host of cousins, friends, and a dog, Bosco, who loved him deeply. He was preceded in death by his father, Edd Roberson; his grandmothers, Zeloa Tyson and Rosie Price; and uncle, LaMorse Roberson. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Wolverine State Baptist Headquarters, 615 S. Jefferson Ave. Elder Melvin Price will officiate with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
