Mr. Tyrone Prince

With heavy hearts, yet trusting in God’s perfect will, we announce the passing of Tyrone Prince, of Chappell Hill, North Carolina who departed this life on April 1, 2026 at the age of 47. While our hearts grieve his loss, we find comfort in knowing, that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Tyrone was born on November 12, 1978, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Tommie Lee Prince and Clarence Liddell. Raised with strong family roots, he carried those values with him throughout his life. Tyrone was known for his goofy personality, his positive energy, and his ability to motivate and uplift those around him. He had a special way of bringing joy into any room and could make people laugh even during difficult times. Tyrone worked at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. He had a deep love for football and was a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers/Michigan State Spartans. Whether he was watching the game or talking about his team, it brought him joy. Tyrone was also known for his signature saying, “Ya digg”, a phrase that captured his personality and will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him. Above all, Tyrone cherished his family. He was a proud and loving father who shared a special bond with his daughters, always encouraging them and wanting the very best for their lives. His love, guidance, and presence will forever remain with them. He leaves to cherish his precious memory, two daughters, Bre’Ana Prince and Freddie’Rika Prince; his siblings, Joyce Primus, Jeffery Primus, Carl Primus, Cedell Liddell, Mary Liddell and Tim Prince; along with a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and dear friends. Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, Tommie Lee Prince and Clarence Liddell; his grandparents, Mary Lee Butler and Mack Butler, Sr; sister, Mary Liddell and cousin, Passione Nichols. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort knowing that Tyrone is now resting in the arms of the Lord. His life was a gift, his love was a blessing, and his memory will be treasured forever. The family expresses special thanks to his friends he leaves behind in North Carolina, the staff at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Holloway Memorial Funeral Home, and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 Celebration of Life service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw. MI 48607. Pastor Johnie F. Edwards will officiate.
