Mr. Tyveon Amir Clifford Wells

Tyveon Amir Clifford Wells was born on June 28, 1999, at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan, to parents Monique Wells and the late Tyrone Clifford Wells, whom he loved dearly. Growing up, Tyveon was a cute, energetic, happy, and fast-talking child who, at age 4, could beat any adult at pool, thanks to Mr. Ernest’s teachings. But Tyveon would not only beat you at pool. He would out-talk you! He had the gift of gab and got it honestly from his dad, who he adored. Tyveon shared that his “best memories as a child with dad were going on motorcycle rides, riding in the Fiero, going to car shows, and going to the park to play.” However, at age 11, he experienced what no child ever expects: the loss of a parent. Despite the pain, instead of choosing hopelessness, Tyveon chose a life of heartiness. Raised as a Christian who embodied the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control, Tyveon was admired by many. Life, for Tyveon, was built on pure joy and love, as he embodied a positive, fun-loving spirit, with his heart as his main gift to those around him. He lived life to the fullest. In 2017, he graduated from Mackinaw High School, and in 2023, he moved to Toledo, Ohio. After working briefly in the healthcare industry, he transitioned to a 3-year career as a Corrections Officer at the Toledo Correctional Facility, where he developed strong bonds with coworkers and the people he helped. When Tyveon was off work, he always made the most of his day. He enjoyed playing with his dog, Blu Wells, a Pitbull mix who kept him company. He loved Blu so much. Tyveon also delighted in collecting sports cards, traveling near the ocean, hanging out with loved ones– family and friends, working out, gaming, playing sports, watching a Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Pistons game, and riding his 2015 Black Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle. As a fashion enthusiast, Tyveon wore the latest trends, supporting international and local brands, from Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Jordans, and Rock Revival, pairing them with his favorite chain: a photo-engraved memorial necklace of his father. Tyveon shared in October 2025, “I feel dad inside of me every day. That’s how I’m able to get through most days and be stronger!” Tyveon was an old soul who favored genuine in-person interactions. Known for his authenticity and compassion, Tyveon never met a stranger and was truly the nicest person you’d ever meet. He always saw the best in people, no matter their circumstances. He was a man of integrity—strong, courageous, fearless, and tenderhearted—an example for all. Tyveon was someone you could count on without question. He was a loyal friend and family member. He was a great comfort to all who knew him with the time he shared. Whether providing a listening ear, offering advice, or just acting silly to make someone laugh, Tyveon shared his heart in countless ways, helping those around him. He truly had a heart of gold. Humble and handsome was Tyveon. He was beautiful inside and out. At the tender age of 27, Tyveon departed this life on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 8:09 p.m., in Toledo, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Tyrone Clifford Wells, and his maternal grandfather, Carl Reynolds. He is survived by his mother, Monique Wells; maternal grandmother, Patricia Reynolds; siblings, Cieara, Jasmine, Tyrone Shawn, Jr., Timothy Wells, Dr. Tytianna (Chris) Ringstaff (née Wells), stepbrother, Michael T. Perry, and his best friends Chaz Woods and Tyjuan Walker who were more like his brothers; a paternal aunt, Betty Brown; a maternal uncle, Robert (Tara) Hubbard, nieces, Tavari’a Mackie and Amiyah Patterson; nephews, Taj Wells, Jeremiah Wells, and Zakai Patterson; cousins; and a host of friends. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m., with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Gideon Christ Community Church, 915 Federal Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Bishop Chet Atkins, Host Pastor and Deacon Tyrell Brown will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 .m. until the time of the service.
