Mrs. Virgie Lee Wiggins

Mrs. Virgie Wiggins passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Virgie Lee (Jackson) Wiggins was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the beloved parents of Berry and Mamie (Neal) Jackson on December 12, 1931. She passed away on February 11, 2018 at the age of 86 years. After moving to Saginaw, Michigan, she met the love of her life, Ernest Wiggins and the two were united in Holy Matrimony. She was the foundation of love and stability for the beautiful family that they created. Neighborhood children would never miss a meal as long as Mrs. Virgie was in the kitchen. In Virgie’s presence, many found rest and refuge. She helped to build her community by participating in various clubs and organizations. Virgie was an avid and loyal member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she served for many years. She never failed to always acknowledge and keep Christ at the center of her conversation. She will forever be remembered for her candor and ability to bring comfort to any un-mendable heart. Virgie is survived by her children, Don Wiggins (Cookie), Marvin Wiggins, Ernestine Wiggins and Janice Wiggins; sister, Roberta Howard (Joseph) brother, L.V. Jackson (Alaindra); grandchildren, Andre,, Darenda and Carnell Wiggins, Clyde and Edwin Stanton, Nina McDowell (TyJuan), Coco Chanel Wiggins and Rhonda Marie Dobson (Glenn); great-grandchildren, Andre, Jr., Alina, Braylon, Ada, Aalaja, Jaylon and Kaedyn Wiggins, Sharnice Shay Abner (Ger’Quia Abner) Isaiah Dante and Mia Charisma Wiggins; great-great-grandchildren, Gisselle Marie and Gia Marie Abner; god-daughter; Jericia Wilson ; a loving sister-in-law, Elva Joy Croel, other relatives and friends.. Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by, her parents, Berry and Mamie Jackson; loving husband, Ernest Wiggins; brother, Leon Jackson and sister, Rosemarie Ford. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at New Life Holy Temple, 1200 East Genesee Street. Bishop Zachary Williamson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Family will be present to greet friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
