Willie Lee Farmer

Mr. Willie Lee Farmer passed away at his home in Saginaw, Ml on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at the age of 69. Mr. Farmer was born in Coldwater, MS on February 16, 1943 to the late Leslie Farmer Sr. and Jessie Mae Farmer. He had been a Saginaw resident since 1966. Mr. Farmer was united in Holy Matrimony to Willie Gean Williamson on September 14, 1959. They shared 53 years together. He worked at General Motors, retiring in 2006 after 46 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, especially flowers, spending time traveling with his wife, shopping and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Farmer is lovingly remembered by his wife, Willie Gean Farmer, Saginaw, MI; son, Donnelle Devon (Kezi Jones-Farmer) Farmer, Lansing, MI; 3 brothers, JC Jones, Seattle, WA, Robert Lee Jones, Chicago, IL and Tommie Jean (Furrnita) Farmer, Homestead, FL; 2 sisters, Lillian Jones, Seattle, WA and Lera (Clarence) Burton, Saginaw, MI; his 5 grandchildren, LaKimba “Micey” Magee-Howard, Grand Rapids, MI, James L. Magee, Jr., Saginaw, MI, Walter L. Magee, Grand Rapids, MI, Donnelle “DJ” Farmer, Lansing, Ml and Jada L. Farmer, Lansing, MI; his 4 great-grandchildren, Alexus Thomas Magee, Saginaw, MI, Jalen Howard, Grand Rapids, MI, Tyler Howard, Grand Rapids, MI and Serenity Ann Magee, Grand Rapids, MI; 1 son-in-law, James Magee, Sr.; 5 sisters-in-law, Annie B. Anderson, Mary Pearl Burton, Grand Rapids, MI, Estelle (Roosevelt) Wright, Ethel Gean (Willie) Thompson and Addie Mae (Jessie) Donald; 3 brothers-in-law, Cleveland (Modena) Williams, Saginaw, MI, Joe L. (Linda) Williamson and Leon Shipp; and many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann Magee; and his brothers, Leslie Farmer, Jr. and HB Farmer; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cleveland Williams and Ethel Shipp; and a brother-in-law, Fred Williamson. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Victorious Believers Ministries C.O.G.I.C., 624 South Outer Drive. Rev. Chris Pryor, Pastor. Rev. Wardell Jones will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, on Sunday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
