Mr. Windsor Welch

Windsor Welch was born in Saginaw, Michigan on April 12, 1948 to the union of Charles Crockett Welch and Corine Harriet Kendall. It is with great sadness at the age of 75 years Windsor peacefully passed away in his home on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Our loving father, grandfather, brother, significant other, uncle, cousin and friend will be deeply missed. Windsor worked at (General Motors Corp.) Delphi, for 32 years, before entering the life of retirement. He was a member of UAW Local 467. Windsor, who was well known for his tardiness, who was always late but worth the wait. He was a true blessing to our family. He would always show up at family events with games, stuffed animal prizes and of course…cake to celebrate on every occasion. Windsor, the picture man, loved family keepsakes and enjoyed every opportunity to capture family photos to create lasting memories which are still shared to this day. Windsor was a loving and caring person. Always smiling, joyful and ready to entertain. His studio voice was one worth noting. Every one knew he had arrived when you heard, “Well, hello there”. Windsor always strived to make everyone happy and he loved his family and friends deeply. He had a huge hand in the rearing and upbringing of his nephews, Kevin and Devell, along with his niece, Tria. Windsor had a kind and loving heart. Mr. Windsor Welch leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved lifetime soulmate, Susan Borrello; one precious daughter, Christina Loperena; one stepson, Stephen Borrello; seven grandchildren, Danielle and Deante Clark, Cynthia, Micheal, Valentino, Angelo and Brianna; ten great-grandchildren, Sha Mari Elliott, Serenity Clark, Erickson, Aiden, Braylon, Alize, Xy’Aire, AJ, Cortez, Leovani and Li ‘Angelo; three sisters, Shirley Welch (Henry), Ella Toney and Dawn Walker; one brother, Cornelius Welch; four nieces, Kelly “Special K” (Shannon) Donnell, Chardonnay Toney, Trina and Shanta Kendall; seven nephews, Kevin (Shanique) Welch, Keith Welch, Hollis (Marqaicha) Welch, Devell (Shawn) Welch, Micheal Toney, Lamont (Taneisha) Carthan and Gary Kendall and a host of other relatives and close friends. Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Corine; pops, Willie Toney; grandmother, Cora Nailor; brothers, Robert Kendall (Loretta) and Charles Welch; sisters, Caroline Carthan and Barbara Jean Welch; stepson, Michael Borrello; nephew Marvell Toney and niece, Tria Toney. Funeral service will take place on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Dr. Willie F. Casey will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
